After retiring from teaching, Hope Marston embarked on a career as an author of children’s books. She has 32 books to her credit with more on the way. Marston will be the featured speaker at the April 13 meeting of the Oswego Reading Council.

On Thursday, the author of The Kept Secret and The Soma Man, told members of the Oswego Sunrise Rotary about writing novels. The process of writing his first book taught him many lessons about publishing and editing books. He is editing his third book which he hopes will be out this summer.
Julia Becca, local author, was at Backstreet Books in Fulton on Saturday to promote her newest novel, “Her Demons of Passion.” Becca’s advice to young writers: “Don’t give up.

Backstreet Books will host a very special event as they welcome local author Julia Becca for a book signing on Oct. 16.
The goal is to not only bring the Oswego community together through Greg Mortenson’s book (Three Cups of Tea), but also raise awareness and encourage a world view that advocates understanding and tolerance.
