CYO Students Enjoy Game Day
Children in Catholic Charities’ CYO Summer Program recently enjoyed a full day of outdoor fun as they participated in the program’s game day. The children enjoyed a picnic lunch and a variety of games including relay races, balloon toss and other water games as they experienced the principles of working together and playing cooperatively.
CYO Students Learn Safety Techniques from Menter Ambulance Service
Students in the CYO Summer Program at Catholic Charities of Oswego County were treated to a very special presentation as EMTs Dan Collins and Carl Evans, Jr. of Mentor Ambulance Service visited the CYO for a demonstration on safety and rescue techniques. The two addressed students on the various duties and responsibilities of an ambulance team and demonstrated the different types of equipment that are available to them for use in emergency situations.
Catholic Charities to offer Workshop for Parents
The Strong Families Safe Kids Parent Aide Program at Catholic Charities of Oswego County will offer a workshop series that prove to be very beneficial to parents of children ages 1 through 4.
Fulton Police Dept. Visits CYO
Officer Shawn Hanks of the Fulton Police Department treated Students in the CYO Summer Program at Catholic Charities to a special presentation. The children enjoyed listening to Officer Hanks and learning how to the Police Department works to keep their community safe. Officer Hanks answered a number of questions from the children and helped them gain an appreciation for all that the Fulton Police Department does to keep them safe.

Catholic Charities’ Amigo Project to Distribute Children’s Books
Students involved with Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Amigo Mentoring Project will be distributing new and gently used children books those in need in on Saturday, July 18th at the State Street United Methodist Church, 357 State Street in Fulton.
Catholic Charities’ Kinship Support Project Helps Beautify Fulton
Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Kinship Support Project held a picnic recently for the families that are participating in the project. The event brought all of the workers and the families together and provided them with the opportunity to get to know each other on an informal basis. As part of the outing, families in the Kinship Support Project helped to beautify the city as they assisted in planting flowers at the Fulton Community Development Agency East Office in Fulton.
