The difficult economic times are a big reason why there should be more communication between the college and the city, according to Daniel Nau, the president of the college’s Student Association.
A First Ward resident details several encounters she has had with dangerous dogs in her area. One attack sent her to the emergency room. Councilors encourage residents to report potentially dangerous dog to the animal control officer.
The vote was 4-3 Monday night. “Our goal is always to attempt a zero percent increase. However, with the rising costs of fuel and utilities, that goal simply was not achievable for 2009,” the mayor said. “The good thing is nobody lost their job.”
