Oswego County ‘Adopts’ A Platoon

Oswego County has joined the effort to bringing support and encouragement for soldiers overseas. Donna Scanlon, program coordinator for Community Development Programs in Oswego County, explained that the county has officially “adopted” a platoon and will send monthly care packages to an Army platoon that is stationed in Afghanistan.

Lake Effect Snow Warning For Oswego County

ALERT! The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a lake effect snow warning – which is in effect from 4 p.m. today (Nov. 16) until 1 p.m. Monday. The lake effect snow watch is no longer in effect. Mixed rain and wet snow today may fall as just snow across the Tug Hill, but as the afternoon and evening progress the precipitation will change to snow at the lower elevations as well.
