Fifth ‘Run For Dennis’ Set For March 12
The fifth Run For Dennis 5k Run/Walk is scheduled for 10 a.m., March 12 to honor the memory of Oswego resident Dennis Pacheco (5/28/59-3/17/11), a victim of bladder cancer.
More than $15,000 was raised by more than 400 participants in the fourth annual Run for Dennis 5k Run/Walk, held on March 14, to honor the memory of Oswego resident Dennis Pacheco, a victim of bladder cancer, it was announced by Jessica Newson, race director and Pacheco’s daughter, and Jane Pacheco, co-director and Pacheco’s wife.
More than 300 people have registered for the fourth annual Run For Dennis 5k Run/Walk, said Jessica Newson, race director. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. March 14 to honor the memory of Oswego resident Dennis Pacheco (5/28/59-3/17/11), a victim of bladder cancer.

Catholic Charities was founded in 1930 and has expanded its agency with many programs and services that have touched thousands of children, families and individuals throughout Oswego County. Generous gifts and donations to Catholic Charities have supported more than 160,000 children, woman and men in need.
“Over $10,000 was raised by more than 450 participants in the third annual Run For Dennis 5k Run/Walk, held on March 15 to honor the memory of Oswego resident Dennis Pacheco (5/28/59-3/17/11), a victim of bladder cancer,” it was announced by Jessica Newson, race director and Pacheco’s daughter.
Each year Entergy Corporate matches the funds raised through their employee campaign in support of the United Way dollar for dollar. Their generous donations provided the United Way with $52,890. Entergy’s support plays a major role in the success of the United Way’s annual campaign, as their combined contribution was in excess of $105,000.
