The Memorial Day Salute Committee feels that our community has many heroes who are serving or have served in the present conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as veterans who have served their country over the years. Therefore, this year‘s parade is in honor of all those who have served their country.
The Memorial Day Salute Committee recently announced the winners of the annual Poster Contest held to create a patriotic poster in keeping with “America the Beautiful”.
Oswego Harborfest announced today that the 2010 Children’s Musical will be “The Three Musketeersâ€Â. The musical production is taken directly from the French literary classic by Alexandre Dumas.
The annual Hollis Winter Festival is set for Tuesday. The area received another four inches of snow today (Feb. 15) to ensure the sledding, snowshoeing and other outdoor activities all go smoothly.
Organizers say Warm Up Oswego 2010 was the biggest and best ever. The event helped lift the Port City out of the winter doldrums, and raise money for the restoration and maintenance of the Oswego YMCA Armory.
The Memorial Day Salute is a two-day event that was created and is now carried on by representatives of the four Fulton service clubs: Rotary, Sunrise Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions. Pictured are the presidents of the service clubs and the Veteran of the Year.
