Garage Fire Reported In Scriba
An attached garage at 58 Skyline Drive, was heavily damaged Wednesday night by fire. There were two people in the attached house; both made it out safely.

Once again, the Oswego Fire Department is asking Oswego residents, if possible, to keep their hydrants clear of snow.
Fire Damages Port City Home
UPDATED: Authorities still seeking the cause of Monday’s house fire. At approximately 12:55 p.m. Feb. 7 , Oswego City Police responded along with the Oswego City Fire Department to a confirmed structure fire at 86 Tallman St. No injuries were reported. Oswego Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 315-342-8120.
Fire Damages Oswego Town Home
The homeowner reportedly suffered burns getting out of the house. The fire was reported at the home, located at the corner of Johnson Road (County Route 7) and the Gardenier Road, around 1 p.m.
Authorities Deem Fatal Scriba Fire ‘Accidental’
The preliminary cause of Wednesday night’s fatal fire has been determined to be accidental – during the food preparation in Apartment B. A 25-year-old man died in the blaze.
UPDATE: Body Recovered At Fire Scene Tentatively Identified
A body has reportedly been found at the fire scene. The victim has been tentatively identified as Robert P. Rose, age 25, of Apartment B, 6 Beech Drive.
UPDATE: Neighbor Arrested for Apartment Fire
UPDATE, 9:00 P.M. TUESDAY: Oswego Police arrested the person who lives in another apartment at 211 E. Eighth St. and charged him with setting the fire inside apartment 1.
At about 5:23 p.m. Monday, the Oswego City Fire Department responded with the Oswego City Police Department to a reported structure fire at 211 E. Eighth St. Investigators at the scene have indicated that from the preliminary investigation, the fire does appear to be suspicious.
Vehicle Fire Strikes Oswego DPW Garage
A vehicle fire was reported Sunday night inside the City of Oswego Department of Public Works Garage on Mitchell Street. It resulted in extensive smoke damage to the building as well as several vehicles inside, according to Jeff McCrobie, fire chief.
Fire Leaves Scriba Family Homeless
Fire hit a home in Scriba Sunday.
The fire damaged the home at 53 Maiden Lane, according to the Onondaga/Oswego chapter of the Red Cross.
