The Fulton Lions Club proudly presents the running of the 25th annual Duck Derby, from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 13, said Paul Foster, club president. “We’ve renamed the event, “Charby’s Duck Derby” in honor the late Don Charbonneau, a Fulton Lions past president and creator of the derby,” Foster said.
Fulton’s Lions, Kiwanis, Rotary and Sunrise Rotary clubs have again partnered with tournament title sponsor Eastern Shore Associates Insurance, for the ‘Swing 4 Service’ Sixth Annual Golf Classic, Aug. 15, at Emerald Crest Golf Course, Palermo.
MaKenna Cealie and Jacob W. Belcher, both 2015 graduates of G. Ray Bodley High School, were awarded the Fulton Lions Club’s 2015 H. and Mary Dowd Memorial and John Scaringi scholarships respectively.

Timothy Bush, district governor for Lions International District 20-Y-1, was the featured speaker at the Fulton Lions Club’s Jan. 15 meeting. Bush congratulated Fulton Lions Len Kellogg and Dr. Brett Tallents for reaching milestones of 30 and 20 years of membership, respectively. He also shared district initiatives for growing membership by “strengthening the pride.”
The Fulton Lions Club’s second and final “Lions Loot” sweepstakes Early Bird drawing will be drawn at the January 2015 board meeting. A total of five names will be drawn for the prize of $100 each. The Lions Loot event and drawings are scheduled for 1 p.m., April 19, 2015, at the Fulton Polish Home.

The Fulton Lions Club has announced that they will be hosting their ninth annual chicken BBQ Feb. 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fulton Polish Home to benefit the club’s Mary and Harold H. Dowd Memorial Scholarship.
Fulton Lions Past President Frank Badagnani and his wife, Fran, visited the Oct. 16 club meeting to share photos and stories about their recent adventure at Makutsi Safari Springs Game Reserve in South Africa. Makutsi is a privately owned game reserve in South Africa close to both the Kruger National Park and the Hoedspruit Airport, Frank Badagnani explained.
