Great Adirondack Chairs Offered

The Oswego County Historical Society (OCHS) recently received two adult and two child-size handmade Adirondack chairs to be raffled off as a fundraiser for the Richardson-Bates House Museum.

The Oswego County Historical Society (OCHS) recently received two adult and two child-size handmade Adirondack chairs to be raffled off as a fundraiser for the Richardson-Bates House Museum. Shown in front of the museum, from left, are Bernie Henderson and Peg McKinstry, OCHS Board of Trustees members as they thank the kind creator John Deary who’s seated in one of the chairs. Raffle tickets are available at the museum, 135 E. Third St. or from one of the society’s board members. For questions call 343-1342.

Thanks For Making ‘Fun-raiser’ A Success

I would like to thank executive director Deana Masuicca and the staff at the Oswego YMCA for allowing us to use the Legends Softball Complex and helping us to coordinate our second annual ‘fun-raiser’ softball game between the staffs of Catholic Charities of Oswego County and Oswego Opportunities.

Stephanie Crowley, Director of Community Relations for ARC of Oswego County, accepts a donation of legal services valued at $300 for the ARC Gala silent auction from Tim Fennell of Amdursky, Pelky, Fennell & Wallen, P.C.  The donated certificate will entitle the winner to the preparation of a Last Will and Testament, Living Will, Health Care Proxy, and Power of Attorney.

Army Maj. Anthony Clemente said the idea for adding the charitable donations was inspired by his father. A retired Army major who served for 30 years, Clemente’s father lost his fight against lymphoma and liver cancer.
