An archrival football game, outstanding swimming, a never give up golf team and solid running were accompanied by an unbeaten volleyball team to get another week of Oswego High School sports action under way.
Once again the Oswego golf team gained a win while the cross country team had some solid individual performances and other teams were also in action recently.
The Oswego volleyball teams upended their opponents recently as both the boys and girls won 3-0 over Fayetteville-Manlius.
The Oswego Lady Bucs volleyball team started the defense of their league title with a 25-12, 25-8, 25-14 win over Auburn. The girls are 1-0 in the league play and 1-0 overall.
Oswego High School summer graduates celebrated their success at the Oswego City School District Board of Education last week.
The Oswego High School Class of 2011 is prepared to begin its march toward June 25 graduation exercises at the SUNY Oswego Campus Center. However, the members of the Class of 2010 have made their mark and are moving to their next life step.

Oswego High School Principal Patty Oughterson is proud to announce the students who earned honor roll recognition for the final quarter of the 2009-2010 school year.
“High school was great for providing us with chances to participate in something. But, the next part of our lives will be the first part that truly becomes what we make of it,†the valedictorian said. “I’m sure the majority of us would like to believe that we haven’t just had the best four years of our lives; but, without action that is what they may become,†she cautioned her classmates.
