The agency works on behalf of the county legislature for the betterment of the residents of Oswego County, its executive director said. Its mission is to “interpret, disseminate and deliver research-based information and knowledge on issues relevant to Oswego County.”

There are more than 200 acres of the water chestnut covering the river in rugs like mats. Every year that the chestnuts go untreated, their numbers and locations proliferate exponentially. This is a serious, present problem.
The Oswego County Legislature recognized champion weightlifter Juan R. Collazo with a certificate at their December meeting. The 61-year-old Fulton resident is coached by Dave Eddy, also of Fulton, and currently holds five state records, five national records and two world records.
Legislator Barry D. Leemann, District 4, was re-elected to his third term as Chairman of the Oswego County Legislature at the 2010 organizational meeting. Oswego County legislators also re-elected were John Proud, District 7, to his third term as Vice Chairman, and re-elected Ted Jerrett to his twelfth term as Clerk of the Legislature.
