The small park at the entrance to the city at East First and Utica street will be getting some sprucing up, thanks to the Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club. The Physical Services Committee gave a favorable recommendation to a request from the club for use of public space at Leotta Park in order to construct a pavilion and place four picnic tables. They will also do landscaping in the area.
The Administrative Services Committee approved funding for professional services for the project. The DPW commissioner was also authorized to rent a sewer main cleaning machine for the months of June through August with the option for September, and the employment of additional personnel for the same period to augment the workforce to conduct the required sewer main cleaning for the smoke testing and television inspection contract.
