Youth from all over Oswego County have been coming to the H. Lee White Marine Museum, on Oswego’s West First Street Pier, to enter the annual student contest “Art & History Rule!â€
This is the perfect time for students, along with one adult, to visit the H. Lee White Marine Museum and enter one of two contests to win cash prizes.
On July 31, the H. Lee White Marine Museum and the Oswego Maritime Foundation will host a celebration of the New York State Canal System and the birthday of George Goble, well known local shipbuilder during the 1800s to early 1900s.
The H. Lee White Marine Museum is again swabbing the decks for a hearty afternoon of pirate carousing.
Doris Allen, a long-time resident of Oswego, took people on an historic walk through city streets uncovering clues about Oswego’s past on Saturday afternoon. The more than six dozen crowded into the H. Lee White Marine Museum didn’t have to step outside, as Allen invited them to let their imaginations do the walking.
