Preschool Parents Attend Center Committee Training

Parent representatives gathered recently to attend Head Start's Center Committee Training.  These parents were elected within each of the program's parent groups to serve as officers.  Parent involvement is at the core of OCO's Head Start Preschool.  Parents are encouraged to be involved in many ways, from volunteering in their child's classroom to having a voice in program planning and decision making.  The preschool program enrolls 3-  and 4-year-old children.  Applications for enrollment are currently being accepted.  Those seeking more information can call 598-4711.Parent representatives gathered recently to attend Head Start’s Center Committee Training. Making Pasta in Preschool 1

Peyton AllerPeyton Aller, a Preschooler at Discovery Day Care, is making pasta while his friend Riley Carrington watches him. The children were able to eat their pasta they made with their lunch that day. The kids were able to see if they could taste a difference with home made verses store bought.
