OCO has recently opened a newly built, five bedroom community residence at 198 West 4th Street in Fulton and have acquired 7 apartments at the East Point Apartment Complex in Oswego. The new facilities will not only enhance services offered to consumers through OCO’s Mental Hygiene Division but also allow the program to serve more individuals as well.

OCO’s YES! Program To Expand Host Home Project

For more than 15 years Oswego County Opportunities’ Youth Emergency Services Program (YES!) has been providing support and encouragement to runaway and homeless youth in Oswego County. As the recipient of a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, OCO’s YES! Program is able to help even more youth in crisis.

OCO to Prepare ‘Blizzard Bags’

</p>Tracy Doherty, of OCO’s Senior Services Division prepares to deliver ‘Blizzard Bags’ to clients in OCO’s Senior Services Division.  ‘Blizzard Bags’ are distributed to seniors in the home delivered meal program and to those who attend OCO’s dining and activities sites.  The bags serve as a security measure in the event that seniors are unable to receive their home delivered meal due to inclement weather.  OCO is currently soliciting donations of food and paper bags as well as volunteers to help prepare ‘Blizzard Bags’ for distribution this winter.

Each year, with the help of caring businesses, organizations and community members, OCO’s Senior Services Division prepares and distributes hundreds of ‘Blizzard Bags’ to seniors throughout Oswego County.
