Jeff Coakley, left, Vice President of Strategic Services at Oswego Health, was introduced by Rotarian David Nethercott at a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting. Jeff presented information about Oswego Health, Inc., a corporation that constitutes an integrated, comprehensive healthcare system and provides many services to Oswego County and neighboring counties. The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton’s Riverside Inn.
In his new position, Dr. Gascon will oversee operation of the hospital’s emergency department. “My goal is to ensure that our emergency room patients receive not only excellent quality care, but that their overall experience exceeds their expectations,†Dr. Gascon said. “I plan to maintain a team of extremely competent clinicians in the emergency department who will meet the community’s needs and provide outstanding care.â€Â
While only a small number of local residents have become ill with suspect cases of the H1N1 flu, Oswego Health’s vice president for medical affairs Renato Mandanas, M.D., said that there are simple steps that can be taken to avoid the illness.
