Oswego State Women’s Soccer Closes Out Season With 4-0 Loss At Oneonta

The Oswego State women’s soccer team closed out its 2009 campaign with a 4-0 loss at Oneonta on Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons received goals from four different players as they clinched either the top or second seed with a 7-2-0 league record and an overall record of 11-3-3. The Lakers finished the season with a mark of 7-9-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the SUNY Athletic Conference.

Oswego State Men’s Hockey Starts Season With Strong Win

The Oswego State men’s hockey team broke open a 2-1 contest with five goals in the third period for a 7-2 victory over Elmira College on Friday night in Oswego. The line of Justin Fox (Jr., Whitby, Ont.), Chris Laganiere (Jr., Owego, N.Y.), and Eric Selleck (So., Spencerville, Ont.) had a big night for the Lakers as it combined to score 10 points on four goals and six assists. Oswego State opens the season at 1-0-0, while the Soaring Eagles went to 0-1-0.

Fulton’s Bateman Scores Goal And Assist To Keep Oswego State Playoff Hopes Alive

The Oswego State women’s soccer team kept its conference hopes alive in a must-win situation with a 3-1 victory over host New Paltz on Friday afternoon. Three different Lakers tallied goals as they improved to 7-8-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the SUNYAC. The Hawks fell to to 4-8-4 overall and 1-6-1 in the league.

SUNYIT Defeats Oswego in 3-2 Thriller; Both Teams Defeat Cancer

The SUNYIT women’s volleyball team defeated Oswego State 3-2 at the Campus Center Gymnasium in a ‘pink’ volleyball match Tuesday night. The match was in conjunction with the Side-Out Foundation’s “Dig Pink” Campaign, a Breast Cancer Awareness rally being held all of October to raise awareness and funds.

Buffalo State scored two first half goals as the Oswego State women’s soccer team fell 2-1 to the visiting Bengals on Friday afternoon. The loss dropped the Lakers to 6-6-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the SUNY Athletic Conference, while Buffalo State improved its overall record to 3-3-5 and league record to 1-2-1.
