Oswego State Women’s Soccer Closes Out Season With 4-0 Loss At Oneonta
The Oswego State women’s soccer team closed out its 2009 campaign with a 4-0 loss at Oneonta on Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons received goals from four different players as they clinched either the top or second seed with a 7-2-0 league record and an overall record of 11-3-3. The Lakers finished the season with a mark of 7-9-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the SUNY Athletic Conference.
Buffalo State scored two first half goals as the Oswego State women’s soccer team fell 2-1 to the visiting Bengals on Friday afternoon. The loss dropped the Lakers to 6-6-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the SUNY Athletic Conference, while Buffalo State improved its overall record to 3-3-5 and league record to 1-2-1.
Michelle Bateman’s superior rookie college season continues. The Fulton grad scored the only goal in Oswego State’s 1-0 win over Plattsburgh Friday. Bateman’s far and away the team scoring leader, with 12 goals in 11 games, including Friday’s game winner.
