Representatives from Harborfest and the city gathered Monday night to discuss what they could do to help each other – and save time and money in the process. The city is going to support Harborfest, according to Mayor Randy Bateman. “We’re just trying to decide at what extent,” he added.
State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has the city of Fulton’s public employees in his sights as he widens an investigation into what he calls “pension padding” — the practice of working more overtime in the years right before retirement in order to increase the pension.
At its next meeting, the Oswego Common Council will consider instituting a $150 fee for street closings. The requests usually are for times when the Traffic Division isn’t regularly scheduled to work. The proposed fee would reportedly cover the cost of the overtime. […]
