Summer school opportunities will be available for Oswego City School District secondary students. Oswego guidance counselor Rachel Henderson noted there is no charge for summer school. Math and English will be offered for students who are not successful. These courses will be offered at Oswego Middle School.

School Board Revisits Budget

Board member-elect John Dunsmoor, left, makes a point during Thursday’s meeting. Traditionally, the board has allowed new members to participate in the last meeting of the year as non-voting members. At right is board member Jim Tschudy.Board members ask administrators to show them what the budget would be like with a 4.7 as well as a 3.5 tax rate increase. They will meet again to next week to decide which, if either, best suits the needs of the entire district. The district must have a budget in place by the end of the month.
