Entergy Sponsors ‘Run for the Kids’ May 13

Oswego School District Art Fest This Weekend

This is just a sample of the award-winning student artwork will be on display this weekend

Award winning student art work will be on display at the annual Oswego City School District Art Show. This year’s event will be held this weekend at the Oswego Art Guild Center on the Fort Ontario grounds. The opening reception is scheduled for Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the gallery.

Kingsford Park School Students Help Raise Funds For Japan Disaster Relief

American Red Cross Oswego Branch Director Danielle Hayden receives a donation from a few of the many fifth grade students at Kingsford Park School who participated in a Spell-A-Thon to raise money for the devastation following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.The fifth grade students from Mrs. Graber, Ms. Lewis and Ms. Conte’s classes at Kingsford Park School were recently involved in a special fundraiser to raise money for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Novelis Assists In Reinforcing Riley’s PBIS Program

Students gathered to say “Thank You” to the Novelis “Cans for Community Committee’ and the generous donations to the Riley Elementary PBIS program. In front are Estie Proano, Alana White, Joseph Reeves, Emily Powers, Teagan Ross, Mikayla Nadzadi and Kenny Tombilillo. In back are Ryan Tamayo of Novelis, Nick Hanna, Trevor Fidler, Amanda Cali, Cameron Smith, Student Council Advisor Karen Burke, Joseph Powers and Superintendent of Schools Bill Crist.

Representatives of every grade level at the Charles E. Riley Elementary School said a big “Thank You” to Novelis. Recently students and staff of the eastside Oswego elementary school expressed their gratitude to Novelis “Cans for the Community Committee” for its tremendous support.
