Playing with Shaving Cream in the Sensory Table at Discovery Day Care

Samantha Harrison (left) Nicholas Vaverchak (right) and Alex  Morrissiey (front) are playing in the sensory table with shaving cream.   The kids liked how it felt between their fingers, and used vocabulary  words such as slippery, slimey, smooth to describe their experience with  it.<p>  Discovery Day Care of Phoenix has limited openings for  children 8 months to 12 years old.  If interested in enrolling your  child please feel free to contact Julie Boyd, Center Manager at  695-4838.  <p>  OCO Inc., is a private, non-sector agency that has  been supporting communities throughout Oswego county since 1966.  OCO  Inc., is a United Way of Greater Oswego County member agency. Hannibal’s S.O.S. Students Clean Up Village

The cleanup is underway on village streets from members of the  Hannibal S.O.S. organization.

On Good Friday, The village of Hannibal was the benefactor as 42 S.O.S. members, along with 4 parents for support, proceeded to clean the village sidewalks.

“Future” Architect at Discovery Day Care

Tyler Redhead from the school age room at Discovery Day Care is  using his imagination to build a house out of legos.   School age  children are given opportunities to play, socialize with peers and  explore their environment.<p>  Discovery Day Care of Phoenix has  limited openings for children 8 months to 12 years old.  If interested  in enrolling your child please feel free to contact Julie Boyd, Center  Manager at 695-4838.  <p>  OCO Inc., is a private, non-sector  agency that has been supporting communities throughout Oswego county  since 1966. Hannibal Budget Restores Sports, For Now

Hannibal’s budget for the 2010-11 school year is no longer a draft, it’s a proposal. And the proposal unveiled Monday night cuts teachers, custodians and office staff but leaves money in the budget for a full sports program.

Beach Day in Preschool 1 at Discovery Day Care

It may have been cold and snowy outside at Discovery Day Care, but  inside in Preschool 1’s classroom the children were having Beach Day!   Cody Hager (left) and Logan Petrie (right) is fishing for ducks.  They  are identifying the letters and numbers that are at the bottom of the  ducks.  <p>  Discovery Day Care of Phoenix has limited openings  for children 8 months to 12 years old. GRB Dance Team Holds Recital Wednesday Night

The G. Ray Bodley Dance Team will hold their annual dance  recital  on April 7, 2010 at 7:00pm in the high school auditorium. You'll see  the team perform several dances together, solos and small groups will  also perform.  It's sure to be a fun evening, come out and support the  girls.  The Dance Team will be holding raffles that evening to help  raise money for Relay for Life. You’ll see the team perform several dances together, solos and small groups will also perform.

Hannibal Holds Public Meeting on Budget Tonight

The district is likely to present a budget that no one will like.  The state is cutting aid to schools by 5% from last year’s level.  The cut will have a very harsh effect on Hannibal and other rural school districts which get most of their money from the state.

Navy Guest Speaker in Hannibal Schools

On Monday, March 29th, Petty Officer Jeffrey Wahl of the U.S. Navy  was a guest speaker for the language and business classes at Hannibal  High School.  Officer Wahl is a Navy linguist and cryptologist and  speaks eight languages fluently.  He gave the students advice on how to  improve their language skills and explained how his high school language  classes began an interesting series of travel and job opportunities  within the military and also in the private sector.  The students were  very impressed with his passionate pro-language presentation.Petty Officer Jeffrey Wahl of the U.S. Navy was a guest speaker for the language and business classes at Hannibal High School.
