Aubertine: Not Running For Congress
It’s Scozzafava For Republicans vs. ??? For Democrats
The Republican committees of 11 counties made their choice Wednesday. Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava of Gouverneur, who represents three northern towns of Oswego County, will be their pick to try to keep the 23rd Congressional District seat held by John McHugh.
Meantime, national Republicans rolled out the first wave of negative attacks on the man they think will be the Democratic party’s candidate.
Poll: Voters Are Angry With Senators, Plan To Vote Them Out
You’re angry. A new poll from Siena College says that New Yorkers are overwhelmingly angry at their state politicians and plan to hold onto that anger until they get a chance to vote.
Siena, which polls on statewide political questions regularly, finds 74% of people polled said they had an unfavorable opinion of the State Senate after its month-long leadership struggle. Back in February, only 43% held an unfavorable view.

The Senate met as a complete body for the first time in a month because the Democrat who flipped to the Republicans in exchange for something good for himself flopped back to the Democrats in exchange for something good for himself.
Paterson Names Lt. Gov.; Midnight Court Session Blocks Appointment; Senate Chaos Continues
Well, that didn’t take long.
At 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Governor David Paterson appointed a Lieutenant Governor in an attempt to end the two-party standoff in the State Senate.
By 1:00 a.m., a judge blocked the appointment.

Aubertine Disappointed with Failure to Act
