OHS Swimmers Recognized For Record-Setting Efforts
A quartet of Oswego High School swimmers was recognized by the Oswego City School District Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools at the most recent meeting.

A quartet of Oswego High School swimmers was recognized by the Oswego City School District Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools at the most recent meeting.

Oswego High School swimmers displayed a record-breaking performance as they were among the elite at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association championships. Drake Becksted, Reeve Callen, Sean Stegemoller and Zach Gerber qualified to compete in the state meet and turned in sensational performances.

Devyn Hutcheson scored a hat trick to lead the Lady Bucs to the Final Four while the boys’ hockey team and bowlers were successful. Her first goal was assisted by Karissa Favata and Caitlin Friel while the other two were outstanding individual efforts.

Basketball teams and swimming team have been in action recently while Whitney Ford continues to excel indoors on the track and the wrestling team continues to battle.
The Oswego boys’ swimming and diving team splashed to a 54-40 over Baldwinsville. The Bucs set three new pool records on their way to victory. They missed a fourth record by 0.4-second.
In one of the most exciting meets in the history of both swimming programs the Oswego High School and Fayetteville-Manlius high school varsity swim teams swam to a rare and seldom seen tie in a 93-93 final on Wednesday.
Swimmers and hockey teams were successful this week in picking up victories while the wrestling team had a tough match against its opponent.
The swimmers gained a solid win while the girls’ ice hockey team started the season 2-0. Meanwhile, the boys’ basketball team nearly ended Baldwinsville’s winning streak.
An eighth grade golfer paced the Oswego High School golf team to victory while the varsity soccer teams played well in victories. Meanwhile, the swimmers were solid in their most recent meet and the girls’ volleyball team continues to win.
Oswego swimmers ended a long losing streak against C-NS while the girls volleyball teams remained unbeaten. Runners and boys volleyball performed solidly in the latest Oswego High School sports results.
