Public Hearing Set On County Nuke Deal

At its meeting Tuesday, the Oswego County Legislature’s Nuclear Plant Tax Status Committee approved two resolutions dealing with Nine Mile Point Unit I. It would provide for a one-year PILOT deal with the nuclear power plant. Scriba has voted to accept the deal; the Oswego school board voted against it.

Meeting Set On Tentative Tax Agreement

A “tentative” tax agreement is reportedly in place between local school – government officials and the Nine Mile Point I nuclear facility. It nearly triples the amount paid by the facility. Complete terms of the pact haven’t been made public.

County Amends Law Regarding Nuclear Tax Pact

County Sets Public Hearings On Nuke Tax Plan, Raises

Rotarians Hear About Upcoming Tax Season

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club meeting, Rotarian Michelle Handley introduced Romey Caruso of RJ Caruso Tax & Accounting.  Romey explained some changes for the upcoming tax year such as long-time residency credit and American Opportunity credit for undergraduates.  He also said there have been 10,000 new IRS auditors  hired who will diligently detail most all documents for unsubstantiated credits.    The Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.

Oswego Town Residents To See Huge Tax Decrease
