In an effort to support the United Way Stuff-A-Bus campaign, area businesses will be selling paper buses to help raise money to purchase school supplies for students in Oswego County who are in need for the upcoming school year.
Executive Director of the United Way of Greater Oswego County, Melanie Trexler has announced that the United Way, in collaboration with school districts throughout Oswego County, has officially kicked-off its annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign and is currently collecting school supplies for children in need.

When it comes to hosting the largest golf tournament in Oswego County, the United Way realizes that it would not happen without the many volunteers who donate their time and talents to make it possible.

Each year Entergy Corporate matches the funds raised through their employee campaign in support of the United Way dollar for dollar. Their generous donations provided the United Way with $52,890. Entergy’s support plays a major role in the success of the United Way’s annual campaign, as their combined contribution was in excess of $105,000.

As usual the United Way Golf Classic will offer participants something new, a chance to win the “Good Life.” Thanks to the support of area businesses the United Way Golf Committee have prepared 10 specially themed packages that will be available as part of a “pick-a-prize” that will take place during the United Way’s Golf Classic.

Melanie Trexler, executive director of the United Way of Greater Oswego County, has announced that popular radio personality Perry Noun will be a special guest at this year’s annual United Way Golf Classic. Noun, host of the popular “Tee Time with the Pro-Noun” radio show will be golfing in the event and serving as master of ceremonies at the awards banquet immediately following the tournament.

The Clubhouse Tavern in Oswego and Wiltsie Construction have joined together to cook up an idea to benefit United Way of Greater Oswego County. On July 30 from 8 a.m. – noon, the tavern will host a free breakfast.

Resource Development Director for the United Way of Greater Oswego County, Lois Luber has announced that the sponsors are in place and plans are underway for the United Way’s 16th Annual Golf Classic.
Thanks to the tremendous support we received from the community we were able to distribute hundreds of books to children along the parade route. It was wonderful to see the expressions on their faces and the appreciation of the parents.
