Battle Of The Bulge Veterans Remember Fallen Comrades

<p>Leonard Lambert shares a story about the war with members of the Oswego Battle of the Bulge Veterans.</p>

The organization was formed in 2002 to honor the local men who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and keep alive the memories of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, according to chairman John Canale. He describes the members of the group as “patriots” and “heroes.” This fall, they will start offering a scholarship to an OHS senior who will be entering the armed forces.

More Than 2 Million Reasons To Honor Veterans

Oswego observes Memorial Day“Remember this number – 1,961,680. That is the number we should say thanks to for this day of summer fun,” said George Hoffman, the MC for Oswego’s Memorial Day observance. That is the number of veterans killed in action during our nation’s wars, he pointed out. To that, he added 601,710 POWs and 161,489 MIA.
