Mr. Redding will discuss the role of Oswego’s own 147th NY Volunteers in the Civil War with particular emphasis on the individual stories of several individual soldiers. This regiment mustered in on September 22, 1862, mustered out on June 7, 1865 and was active in the defenses of Washington, north of the Potomac.
