Tall Ships’ Visit to Oswego is Canceled

OSWEGO – The H. Lee White Maritime Museum has announced that the Columbus Foundation replica tall ships Nina and Pinta visit to Oswego has been cancelled.

“Unfortunately, the ships will not be able to visit the historic port of Oswego this June due to construction work under way on the Oswego breakwall and the required staging on the west pier,” said Mercedes Niess, the museum’s executive director.  “While the maritime museum will be open daily, we could not accommodate the ships and the volume of visitors these ships attract, in our current situation. We look forward to a future visit from the Nina and Pinta and hope to offer a full-scale event at another time.”

Located on the West First Street pier, the maritime museum is open from daily from 1 to 5 p.m. through the month of June and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during July and August.
