Oswego County sugarhouses participating in New York State’s 2019 Maple Weekends await your visit to taste real maple syrup and to experience first-hand how real maple syrup and maple confections are made March 23-24 and March 30-31.
The Oswego County site are part of a four-county region promoting maple. The farms hosting the regional 2019 Maple Weekend open house events, from 10 am to 4 pm, include some making maple for more than 100-175 years and others with recently-built and ultra-modern sugarmaking operations. A wide variety of pure maple products will be available for tasting and purchase. Some sites also offer woods tours.

2019 Maple Weekend sites, events and activities in the four-county region also include the International Maple Museum Centre in Croghan, N.Y.; the 5th annual Maple Sap 5K Run-3K Walk in Mannsville, N.Y.; and pancake breakfasts.
Official New York State Maple Weekend Maple Tapping Ceremonies in the region may include multiple generations of maple families, local FFA students, and local and state dignitaries, including:
. Oneida County’s ceremony ahead of the Maple Weekends on Saturday, March 2 at Tibbetts Maple, New Hartford;
. Lewis County’s ceremony: Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at the International Maple Museum Centre, Croghan;
. Oswego County’s ceremony: Saturday, March 23 at noon at Yardley Maple, Mexico: and
. Jefferson County’s ceremony: March 30: 12:00 PM at Rudd’s Family Maple Syrup, Mannsville, N.Y.
Visitors are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for winter season and sugarbush tours.
