The American Red Cross Recognizes Fran Enwright

Last month The American Red Cross of CNY held their annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner at St. Joseph’s Church in Camillus.  The dinner is a chance for the staff to recognize all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication to the Red Cross.

Frances Enwright from Oswego was awarded The Blood Services Volunteer Award which recognizes the outstanding performance in fulfilling the position responsibilities and contributing to the overall outcome of blood drives.  Fran has been a volunteer since 1997 and at 86 years old she works all of the Oswego blood drives.  In addition to that she coordinates locations for all other Oswego volunteers. She keeps in contact with the local Blood Services Manager and makes sure she knows when there is an added blood drive or a cancellation so she can make sure everything is taken care of.  “Fran has always been a pleasure to work with.  She has a great deal of spunk and truly enjoys volunteering for the Red Cross. I can’t think of a better person to receive this award.” says Danielle Hayden, Branch Director of the Red Cross.  Congratulations Fran.
