‘The Voice’ Star Gary Carpentier To Perform At OCO’s Giving Thanks

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego County Opportunities Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier announced that singer / songwriter Gary Carpentier will provide the entertainment for the agency’s “Giving Thanks” fundraiser.

Oswego native Carpentier has spent the past 6 years performing throughout Central New York and beyond. He rose to prominence with his performance on NBC’s Emmy Award winning television series “The Voice” where he was the final contestant on Team Adam Levine.

Since his appearance on “The Voice,” Carpentier released his first EP, “My Time,” and is currently recording a second release at SubCat Studios in Syracuse.

Carpentier will bring his unique sound, which he describes as indie/alternative with pop, R & B, soul, along with components from other styles of music, to OCO’s “Giving Thanks” fundraiser on November 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lake Ontario Convention, Event and Conference Center in Oswego.

“Giving Thanks” will have food stations featuring harvest season delicacies from some of Oswego County’s favorite restaurants including; Alex’s on the Water, Blue Moon Grill, Canale’s Restaurant, Garafolo’s, La Parrilla, The Press Box, Mimi’s Drive-In, The Eis House, GS Steamers, Tailwater Lodge and Mill House Market.

Additional stations will offer choices from Cake Commander, CiTi Culinary Arts, Appledale Orchards, and OCO Nutrition Services.

Foods at each station will be enhanced with wine and beer pairings from Eagle Beverage.

Proceeds will be used in support of OCO’s “Success4Families” campaign, which will help fund a variety of services that feed, clothe and house families in need as well as empower, support and equip families for success.

“I’m very happy to be working with OCO again, said Carpentier. “Doing events like this is such a necessity for our success as a community, as neighbors, and as families. When OCO asked if I would perform, it was a no-brainer. Thank you for all your support towards today!”

Tickets are $35 per person in advance, $40 at the door, and include food, refreshments, and beer and wine tastings.
