FULTON, NY – At the G. Ray Bodley High School commencement ceremony held in June, theatre awards were presented to two honor graduates, Lena Kimball and Kaitlyn Kinney.
Kimball was the recipient of the 2015 Quirk’s Players Directors’ Award, which is given to a graduating senior who displays dedication to the theatre program at Bodley High School, sets high performance standards, inspires others to excel and serves as a role model for fellow students.
Kinney was the recipient of the 2015 William Quirk Memorial Award For Achievement in Theatre.
Presented in memory of William Quirk, a long-time English teacher and theatre director at both Fulton High School and G. Ray Bodley High School, the Quirk Award is presented to the graduating senior who has made the greatest contribution to the theatre program at GRB during his/her high school years.
The honorees have appeared in numerous productions with Quirk’s Players throughout their years at G. Ray Bodley High School.
Most recently, they performed in Quirk’s Players’ 2015 spring musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Both ladies have been accepted at Nazareth College in Rochester.
They will start classes there on August 31 as members of Nazareth’s class of 2019.
