Director Sherri Metz was beyond thrilled to have these two “wild n crazy guys” walk through the door at auditions.

” I could not have asked for two more perfect guys for the roles in this play. Hugely talented and fun to work with, they were definitely on my most wanted list,” said Metz.

Fans may recognize Bandla from his long-running role as “English Teacher” at Oswego High School. He makes his TDJ debut as Vinnie in “Murder At the Prom,” but he has played a variety of roles over the years, including Ed Every in Born Yesterday, Victor Frankenstein in Frankenstein, Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Bob Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird, Herbie in Gypsy, and most recently Dr. Zubritsky in Neil Simon’s Fools, all with the Oswego Players, Inc.

Originally from Iowa, Horning is relatively new to the Empire State.

He arrived in 2015 to work at WRVO Public Media in Oswego, an NPR affiliate that serves more than 20 counties in central and northern New York. He reports on various regional issues ranging from local politics to nuclear energy.

Horning’s reports have also been heard nationwide on NPR. Since arriving in Oswego, Horning has recently been involved with the local community theater group, The Oswego Players, Inc. and looks forward to playing on stage often.

Murder at the Prom by Peter DePietro is part of the Barnes Hiscock Mansion Dinner Theatre Series (May 9) the Eis House Dinner Theatre Series, (May 18) the Quality Inn / GS Steamers Dinner Theatre Series. (May 26)
