FULTON, NY – Executive Director of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County Karrie Damm (left) and CAC Board Member Melanie Russell display some of the many items that will make up a variety of themed baskets that will be awarded via drawings during the 6th Annual CAC Wing Fest.
Scheduled for March 10, the CAC Wing Fest will be held at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, East First Street in Oswego from 6 to 10 p.m. with wings being served from 6 – 9 p.m.
Attitude adjustment hour begins at 5 p.m.
CAC’s Wing Fest features samples of chicken wings from a variety of Oswego County’s favorite eateries. Each restaurant will offer samples of a traditional flavor chicken wing as well as their signature chicken wing. Eagle Beverage will also be on hand to offer samples of micro-brews, ciders, wines and spirits.
Entertainment for the evening will feature the smooth sounds of local favorites The Cortini Brothers.
In addition to the basket drawings there will also be a “cork and cap pull” where attendees can have a chance to win a bottle wine or craft beer, drawings for themed baskets, and a very special announcement regarding the future of the CAC.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the CAC, a non-profit organization that works hand-in-hand with local law enforcement, prosecution, child protective services, medical providers, mental health providers, and victim advocacy professionals in Oswego County to protect and serve child victims of sexual and physical abuse.
In 2016, the CAC served 500 children and families in Oswego County.
The CAC’s main office is located at 301 Beech St. in Fulton; there is also a satellite office at 4822 Salina St. in Pulaski.
