Bring your laptop to the Public Computing Center for help with back-up to prevent your data from being lost, or learn how to back-up files on a desktop computer. Come to the workshop on Tuesday, August 23 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Public Computing Center on the Lower Level of the Oswego Public Library.
Would you like to learn how to borrow E-Books/audiobooks using the public library’s emedia service? Sign up for “Downloading E-books from your Library,” which takes place from 10:00 am to noon on Thursday, August 25. You will also see examples of some popular devices that are compatible with the library’s emedia service and instructors will answer any questions you may have. Bring your own device to the workshop for individual help.
Individual assistance for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs includes topics on Marketing your Small Business through the Internet and Creating a Website. This one on one help session focuses on how individuals can effectively promote their small businesses by using the internet. You will learn about creating your own website, how to use eBay and PayPal and other tips on how to promote your small business. Drop in to the Public Computing Center on Thursday, August 25 any time from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm, or make an appointment by visiting or calling Oswego Public Library at 341-5867.
In addition, the Library teaches basic computer skills. The Public Computing Center on the Lower Level of the Library offers “Introduction to Computers,” and “Internet Basics,” each month with the classes running for 8 sessions each. Help with “Beginning Keyboarding” is also offered as needed.
For people looking for work, a Job Club meets on Mondays from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Staff members at the Public Computing Center offer help with preparing resumes, cover letters, and job applications on an individual basis any time. Literacy Volunteers offers free “Job Readiness” workshops every week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Call Literacy Volunteers at 342-8839 to sign up for “Job Readiness” workshops.
Workshops are held in the Public Computing Center located on the Lower Level of the Library.

Workshops are limited to 10 people on a first come first served basis, except for one on one help with anything related to technology, which has no limit and takes place when classes are not being held.
The Public Computing Center at Oswego Public Library is open daily except Sundays, with someone to help members of the public with anything computer or technology related.
