The Third Annual Winona Forest Recreation Association (WFRA) WINTERFEST will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the CCC Camp (Co. Rt. 90) in Lorraine starting at 9am.

This is a free event to raise awareness of local, family-friendly outdoor winter activities and to promote usage of Winona State Forest.

Winterfest includes a cross country ski race, Pennsylvania Dog Sled Club demonstrations and rides, snow sculptures, and more.

WFRA volunteers promote year round activities in the Forest and maintain and groom the trails in partnership with the DEC. In addition to Winterfest, WFRA sponsors the Winona Forest Tourathon.

The historic CCC Camp, located on County Route 90 in Lorraine, is maintained by the DEC. It provides parking, shelter, and immediate access to over 70 miles of groomed trails in the Winona State Forest.
