Thomas L. O’Connor, 77, a resident of Hillsborough, N.C. and a former resident of Hannibal, passed away May 11, 2011.
Born in Volney, he was the son of the late William and Lucy (Coe) O’Connor.
Thomas Served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was employed as a salesman.
He was a member of the Oswego Elks Lodge 271, Knights of Columbus in Hillsborough, N.C. and served on the Hannibal Board of Education for 16 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Lorinda; daughters, Denise (Michael) O’Connor-Sanford of Oswego and Ann Hill of Baldwinsville; a son, Richard (Tammy) O’Connor of Mississippi; a brother, Charles C. O’Connor of Sterling; sisters, Lorraine Waldron of Sterling; Elizabeth (Jack) Moshier of Sterling, Ernestine Allen of Brewerton, and Cynthia (Thomas) Hirsh of Hannibal; and five grandchildren, Jon Sanford, Jeffrey Ford, Tracey Guzman, Brianna Hill, and Logan O’Connor.
He is predeceased by his brothers, James, William, and Harold O’Connor; and a sister, Ida Stevens.
Funeral Services will be held 11a.m. Saturday, May 14 at Our Lady of The Rosary Church in Hannibal. Burial will be in Hannibal Village Cemetery.
