Three Suspects Charged With Drug Possession Following Traffic Stop In Volney


On Tuesday (November 1), at approximately 4:20 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on State Route 3 in the town of Volney for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

The operator, Susanne M. Gugula, 29, from 858 Baldwin Road, Fulton, was found to be operating with a suspended license and without a required interlock device, according to police.

Further investigation at the scene revealed several alleged packets of heroin, hypodermic needles and two packets of Suboxone without a valid prescription within the vehicle.

Gugula, along with passengers Amanda E. Freyleue, 30, from 850 Baldwin Road, Fulton, and John A. Susco, 33, from 103 Westwood Ave., Mattydale, were taken into custody, processed at SP Fulton, and arraigned in the Town of Palermo Court.

Gugula was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree, a class “C” felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor, and several vehicle and traffic law violations.

She was remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.

She is scheduled to return to Town of Volney Court on December 5.

Freyleue was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor.

She was remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond.

She is scheduled to return to Town of Volney Court on November 14.

Susco was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor.

He was remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.

He is scheduled to return to Town of Volney Court on November 14.
