Tim Sears Jr. And Nick Krause Are June’s First NAPA Know How Performers Of The Week

By Dave Medler
BREWERTON, NY – Tim Sears Jr. And Nick Krause both pulled off their very first wins in their division this past Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway that earned them this week’s “NAPA Know How” performers of the week.

Tim Sears Jr. with only a handful of starts in the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds at the speedway, put on a show in the 35 lap feature. Sears at one point was leading and dropped back to third, and then using the top groove fought his way back to lead and the fight for the win was on. He first battled with his Uncle Tom Sears Jr. and then held off a late challenge from Billy Decker for the popular first win.

Nick Krause is a true rookie in the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman at the Fulton Speedway. Krause said just a week ago, “I am the rookie, I guess you can say but i am starting to get a hang of it”. Saturday night the he got the hang of it as he put it all together for his first ever win. On lap 7 of the 15 lap feature, Krause was able to pin the early leader behind a lapped car to take the lead. Once in the lead he was able to hold off past feature winner Dan Keyes for his first ever win.

For their performances, both Sears and Krause, will receive $100 “NAPA Know How Performer of The Week” that is awarded weekly at both Brewerton and Fulton Speedways to one driver that outperforms all others that week across all classes.

The new NAPA Brewerton and Fulton Speedway Racer Discount Card are again in place.

Each active speedway competitor will receive a NAPA card that will provide discounted pricing on most racing related purchases throughout the 2012 race season. Drivers will need to sign up with Speedway officials to be eligible for the program.
