Timothy J. Bartholomew


OSWEGO, NY – Timothy J. Bartholomew, 51, a resident of East Oneida Street, passed away on Monday Jan. 9, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late George and Ruth (Fetterley) Bartholomew and was a graduate of Oswego High School, Class of 1979.

He was employed with the Oswego City DPW for 32 years retiring as the Supervisor of Sewer Maintenance.

He was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians and loved to go camping.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, the former Michelle Conley; two brothers, George (Gerogianna) Bartholomew Jr. of Butler and James Bartholomew of Granby; three nieces, Angela, Colleen and Jamie; and a nephew, Andrew.

Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Thrusday from 4-7 p.m. with a funeral service to follow the calling hours.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

    Michele, I am so, so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. He’s in God’s hands now and out of pain. He will be missed terribly by all of us at the DPW.
