FULTON, NY – On Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway, being a veteran was just inches better than a rookie in the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds.

On lap 13, the yellow would fly again when Wight had a rear wheel come off from possible damage from the lap 9 incident. Wight would not return.

On the restart Mike Bowman dug on the bottom of the speedway and shot into the lead on lap 14.

At the halfway point Bowman opened a comfortable lead as Hile and Tim Sears Jr. fought for second and third. Tom Sears Jr. and Jim Witko showed in the top-five.

With 10 laps to go, Bowman was still turning quick laps out front. Tim Sears Jr. and Tom Sears Jr. were in a tough fight for second and third with Hile and Witko showing on the scoring tower.

Tim Sears Jr. was able to work his way into the lead on lap 31. Over the remaining laps Tom Sears Jr. threw everything he had at Tim Sears Jr. with one last ditch effort on the final lap. Going into turns three and four , Tom Sears Jr. was able to pull alongside Tim Sears Jr. as the drag race was on to the checkers. At the stripe the scoring transponder showed Tom Sears Jr. the winner by a mere 0.181 of a second. Pat Ward, Ryan Phelps and Mike Bowman finished third through fifth.

In the green to checker 20 lap SUNY Canton Sportsman feature, Jeremy Pitcher took the lead from Rick Rogala on lap 6 and never looked back for his fifth win of the season. Points leader Jordan Bennett, Matt Emmons, Rick Rogala and Andrew Ferguson finished second through fifth.
