SCRIBA, NY – The town of Scriba Planning Board seeks a new member to its five-member board, according to James F. Wellington, chairman of the Town of Scriba Planning Board.
A vacancy recently occurred with the departure of long-serving member Gary Holthouse who relocated out of the area to be closer to his children.
Anyone interested in applying for the position should send a letter of interest and resume to Ken Burdick, Town Supervisor, 42 Creamery Road, Oswego, New York 13126.
No prior experience is necessary. The successful applicants must be a resident of the town of Scriba and 18 years of age or older.
The town of Scriba Planning Board was created in 1992 and is authorized to review site plans for buildings proposed by commercial and industrial property owners, as well as certain residential uses.
Additionally, the Planning Board regulates the installation of mobile homes as well as residential subdivisions and mobile home parks.
The Planning Board members are compensated for their service to the town of Scriba.
The deadline for applying is June 30, 2015.
