Over 200 brand new toys assembled in 16 different themed baskets will be up for grabs at a silent auction during the Bikes and BBQ benefit event scheduled for this Sunday, August 16th at the new Oswego Salvation Army Building at 73 West Second Street. The event, which is a collaboration between the Oswego Salvation Army and Oswego County ABATE, will help benefit the ArmyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Ã¢â‚¬Å“I BelieveÃ¢â‚¬Â Capital Campaign that is presently underway. Shown pictured with some of the toys that will be auctioned off during the event are Salvation Army Staffer Carol Hayes and Salvation Army Youth Director, Caleb Hayes. The themed auction items include: Infant/Toddler basket, Super Hero basket, Star Wars basket, High School Musical basket, Puzzle basket, Family Game Fun Night basket, Hot Wheels basket, Play Kitchen basket, Dora the Explorer basket, Doll basket, Barbie Doll basket, The Corps Action figures basket, Disney Princess basket, Girls Accessories basket, Toy Trucks Basket and Book basket. The silent auction will run from 1:30 to 4:30, and complement numerous other kids activities, the hundreds of motorcycles scheduled to participate at the event, BBQ dinner provided by Raging River BBQ, and entertainment by local musician John Bletch and Friends. The cost is $15 per biker registration, which includes ride, dinner/entertainment; $8.50 per person for general public, which includes dinner/entertainment only; and $5 for children 6 and under for dinner/entertainment only.
