Traffic Safety Awards Given

13 individuals and one agency were recently honored for their dedication and commitment to traffic safety education.

Among those recognized were 7 police officers, one school teacher, three public educators, and two STOP DWI advocates.

The agency recognized this year was the Oswego Town Volunteer Fire Department for their commitment to child passenger safety education and technician training.

A special award was given in memory of Captain James Comerford, to Sgt. Craig Bateman, of the Oswego City Police Department.
