MEXICO – Adults who are interested in applying to become foster or adoptive parents through the Department of Social Services are encouraged to attend an informational meeting Sept. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DSS office, 100 Spring St., Mexico.

The Sept. 9 class is a prerequisite for the “Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting – Group Preparation Selection” training class which will be offered Thursday evenings, Sept. 11 through Nov. 20 at DSS.

The training is designed to help people decide if they are ready to become foster or adoptive parents.

Classes will be held for English and Spanish speaking persons.
