Travis Casey Comerford, 26, a resident of Oswego, passed away May 24, 2011.
Born in Oswego, he is the son of Joseph R. and Mary (Plunkett) Comerford of Scriba.
He was a graduate of Oswego High School and attended LeMoyne College, SUNY Oswego, and Fredonia State.
Travis was an avid reader and spent his free time writing poetry and short stories and aspired to be a published author. He enjoyed music, history and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a contractor for Lake Effects Builders.
Surviving, besides his parents, are a brother, Joseph W. Comerford of North Carolina; a sister, Alyson Comerford of Oswego; his maternal grand-parents, Michael (Darlene) Plunkett Sr. of Oswego and the late Sally L. Plunkett; Paternal grandmother Frances Malott Comerford of Oswego and the late Joseph R. Comerford Jr.; many cousins, aunts and uncles; and his dog Bailey.
Funeral Services and entombment will be held privately at All-Saints Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7p.m. Friday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Trinity Catholic School, 115 East Fifth St. or the Oswego City Library, 120 East Second St.
