Tree Care Seminar Planned August 1

OSWEGO, NY – Want to learn more about how important trees are?

A workshop will be held that will take a look at part of the local urban forest and how participants can help the trees (and all of us!) thrive.

There will be instruction in identifying several tree growth problems, pruning, mulching, watering as well as other tree related issues.

Members of the Oswego Tree Stewards will present the workshop.

Dress for the weather, wear closed toe shoes and bring work or gardening gloves, if you have them.

Participation in the event gives one good basic training to join the Oswego Tree Stewards.

Donations will be accepted, but not required.

All proceeds from this event will go toward providing trees, tools and other equipment for the all-volunteer group Oswego Tree Stewards.

The workshop will be held August 1, from 9 – 11 a.m. at East Cayuga Street, Oswego, on the East Side Fire Station lawn.

Please do not park in the fire station driveway.
