Tree Stewards Meet At McCrobie Building Dec 10 4 – 6 PM

Oswego Tree Stewards Meeting December 10, from 4 pm to 6 pm, at the McCrobie Building, 41 Lake St., Room W 24. All people interested in trees are welcome to attend. We need people who are willing to learn about trees, to help spread the word about Tree Stewards, Arbor Day and the importance of Urban Forestry. This volunteer group has had the mandate from Mayor Bateman to make Oswego a Tree City USA.

Being a Tree Steward can be more than learning to maintain, mulch and prune young street trees. We need people who are willing to help educate the public about trees, tree stewards and Arbor Day through workshops. We need individuals who are willing to volunteer promoting trees and Oswego Tree Stewards at schools and clubs. We need to develop a street tree inventory, including locations, species, and condition. We need both knowledgable tree people and people who want to learn about our trees and their environment. Meet other people who like to share information about trees and improve the future of trees in our city.
