Tresidder Invites Community To Grand Opening Of Campaign Headquarters

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego mayoral candidate Amy Tresidder will welcome community members to the opening of her campaign headquarters Thursday (July 9), from 6 to 8 p.m.

The new Tresidder for Mayor headquarters is located at 161 W. First St.

“We looked at several possible headquarter locations but it was important to me to be downtown. There are so many opportunities in Oswego and downtown is one of many areas that needs our attention. Our community needs to celebrate our uniqueness and through the rehabilitation of buildings and the development of friendly public spaces we can create thriving social, cultural, and commercial locations that will attract visitors and residents alike,” Tresidder said.

“We have some fun things planned for our space. I look forward to meeting our new neighbors and having a place that is open to Oswego residents so they can come discuss issues that are important to them,” she added.

For more than five years, Tresidder has been the legislator for Oswego County’s 16th District, which includes parts of six of the seven wards in the city of Oswego.

Legislative committees she has served on include Economic Development and Planning, Finance and Personnel, Highway and Infrastructure, and Public Safety.

Having raised five children in the city of Oswego with her husband of 40 years, Ernest, Tresidder is focused on improving the quality of life for all of Oswego’s families.

Thursday’s event will allow voters to enjoy the Oswego Farmers’ Market in addition to meeting and learning more about the candidate.

Light refreshments from local farm to table restaurants will be served and all are welcome.

Jake Mulcahey, Oswego County Legislator and chair of City Democrats, expressed excitement about the event this Thursday evening.

“Amy’s campaign is really gaining momentum and events like this are enjoyable but more importantly for the general public, this event gives them a great opportunity to hear Amy’s vision for Oswego. We need to look at our candidates, their experience, and what they will offer for our city. ” said Mulcahey.
