Tri-Oswego Partners with Novelis another year for Kids Fun Run

OSWEGO, NY – The Novelis Kid’s Fun Run will take place in Breitbeck Park on June 14.

Start time will be 1 p.m.

There is no cost for this event.

A  free T-shirt will be provided for the first 100 entries and finisher medals will be awarded to all participants.

You can pre-register your child by visiting www.tri-oswego.com or register the day of the event from 9:30 a.m. – noon.

Friends, family and spectators are invited to cheer on the participants.

“The Novelis  Kid’s Fun Run’s purpose is to help promote healthy lifestyles for children and pre-teens in Oswego County. We believe that offering a variety of  events that invite young people, their parents, experienced runners, and even those new to running  will promote fun, fellowship, and fitness for people in the community that we live in ,” said race director Shane Broadwell. “We are fortunate to have community partners like Novelis that share this same vision.”

5 and under = 70 yards
6-7 years old = 1/4 mile
8-9 years old = 1/2 mile
10-12 years old = 1 mile

About Tri-Oswego Triathlon

The Tri-Oswego Triathlon is now in its fourth year and continues to grow in popularity.

More than 300 athletes from all over the country compete yearly.

Olympic and sprint distances are offered, Participants just testing the waters of the triathlon experience can also sign up as a 3-person relay team, taking on either the swim, bike or run component.

All participants will receive a finisher’s medal, technical T-shirt, red carpet finish, and access to a free post-race barbecue and events overlooking Lake Ontario.

This event has a fun and entertaining atmosphere, which is ideal for the beginner triathlete looking to get more experience as well as the seasoned athlete looking to test their speed and endurance.
